After completion of his M.B.B.S from Government Medical College, Miraj; Ankit joined Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, L.T.M.M.C, Sion, Mumbai. Following his junior residency, Ankit soon joined University of Maryland as a Research Assistant and will be joining the Division of Health Science Informatics at Johns Hopkins University next year.
